Eight months before George Floyd was suffocated by a Minneapolis police officer, sparking nationwide protests, another man died at Atlanta’s Grady Hospital three days after being repeatedly tased by police, according to the civil rights complaint filed with the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia in May.
Part of the Georgia lawsuit settled this week, but more is still in litigation. No criminal charges have been filed.
