Trenam filed an intellectual property lawsuit on Nov. 8 in Florida Circuit Court for Hillsborough County on behalf of The Helping Project Corp., a not-for-profit organization focused on opportunity and inclusion for people with disabilities. The complaint accuses a former employee of submitting a paper to the University of Tampa that included the plaintiff’s confidential research material in violation of a confidentiality agreement. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendant. The case is 23-CA-016501, The Helping Project Corp. v. Stamper.
