The judge has been announced, and a hearing date requested for the case involving the Broward County sheriff and allegations of lying on his employment record.

Last year, the Florida Commission on Ethics said it found probable cause to pursue a case into Sheriff Gregory Tony’s alleged lies and omissions on forms that led him to his police job in Coral Springs, and ultimately the Broward sheriff’s position.

The case has now been assigned to Judge June C. McKinney, according to the state’s Division of Administrative Hearings website.

The Judge

McKinney joined as an administrative law judge in 2007.
