PNC Financial Services and other defendants were sued Thursday in Florida Southern District Court in connection with a fraudulent EB-5 investment project. The lawsuit, brought by Beggs & Lane on behalf of Bahman Asgarifard and Mohammed Asgarifard, alleges that Daniel and James Vosotas induced Asgarifard into investing $545,000 in a real estate investment project and that PNC worked in conjunction with the Vosotas’ to fraudulently create a fake escrow account that provided no actual escrow protections. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 1:22-cv-21857, Asgarifard et al v. Vosotas et al.
