Shutts & Bowen partners Paul J. Scheck and Mary Ruth Houston have stepped in as defense counsel to Oracle in a pending trade secret lawsuit filed by CentralSquare Technologies, a provider of software to public safety and justice agencies. The case, filed June 1 in Florida Middle District Court by Hunton Andrews Kurth, accuses Oracle of poaching CentralSquare employees in order to obtain confidential information. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Paul G. Byron, is 6:21-cv-00938, CentralSquare Technologies, LLC v. Oracle America, Inc. et al.
