A New Haven woman hospitalized after suffering a severe allergic reaction to two dogs seated in front of her on a JetBlue flight despite alleged assurances of medical accommodations has filed a lawsuit against the airline.

Annemarie Rivera, who was on an Aug. 9, 2016, flight from Los Angeles to New York City, claims she suffered “a significant allergic reaction” that included swollen eyes and difficulty breathing soon after she took her seat. The airline staff ignored “repeated requests for assistance,” according to the lawsuit.
