Glenn Harris v. Johnmichael O’Hare, Anthony Pia and City of Hartford: The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit has ruled that Hartford police officers violated the constitutional rights of a family when they entered their yard without a warrant and shot a large Saint Bernard dog in front of a 12-year-old girl.

In 2012, a jury in U.S. District Court in Hartford had rendered a defense verdict in favor of the city and the police officers.
