A lawsuit stemming from a rear-end crash in Glastonbury last year settled out of court for $100,000, which the victim’s attorney says is about half as much as the case would be worth if the driver who caused the crash had adequate insurance.

“Unfortunately, there was only $100,000 in coverage with Safeco,” Andrew Bottinick of Carter Mario Law Firm said Wednesday. “The shame is this is a case that would have been worth significantly more, but you run into this all the time.”
