A gang member pleaded guilty Wednesday to charges stemming from the January 2020 shooting of four people in front of the Bridgeport Superior Court building.

Asante Gaines of Bridgeport, 24, also known as Santi, pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to engage in a pattern of racketeering activity and one count of attempted murder and aiding and abetting, in violation of the Violent Crimes in Aid of Racketeering statute. Sentencing has been set for Feb. 7, and Gaines faces a maximum term of imprisonment of 30 years, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Connecticut.
