Tesla’s lawyers last month came out swinging against the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s lawsuit alleging racial discrimination at its California car plant, arguing it strings together vague anecdotes of purported behavior that amount to “factual vacuity.”

But all that swinging resulted in a resounding strike out on Friday, when Judge Jacqueline Scott Corley of the Northern District of California. denied Tesla’s motions to dismiss the suit or, alternatively, put it on hold.
