Michele Korver, a former federal prosecutor who most recently was the U.S. Financial Crimes Enforcement Network’s first chief digital currency adviser, is joining the Silicon Valley venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz as its head of regulatory.

Prior to joining the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network last summer, Korver spent nearly four years with the U.S. Department of Justice, where she was the agency’s first subject matter expert in prosecutions and forfeitures related to cryptocurrency. She also created a digital currency initiative in the agency’s criminal division.
