Federally backed mortgage giant Freddie Mac has appointed former Wells Fargo legal exec Heidi Mason as executive vice president and general counsel.
Mason replaces executive vice president and chief administrative officer Jerry Weiss, Freddie Mac’s chief administrative officer, who has served as interim general counsel since March 2021. Weiss stepped into the role following the retirement of Ricardo Anzaldua, who’d held the post two years.
