A combat veteran who has served as an in-house leader for the casino gaming industry and several major companies is going to be the next general counsel for the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
David Berdan is leaving his post as general counsel and compliance officer for Gaming Arts LLC in Las Vegas to take over as GC for the USPTO in Alexandria, Virginia. He begins his new job Nov. 16 and succeeds Sarah Harris, who has retired.
