One of the leaders of Stroock & Stroock & Lavan has accepted a job leading a new public-sector union practice at Steptoe & Johnson, where he will be joined by a partner and special counsel from the dissolving firm, the lawyers confirmed this week.

Stroock co-managing partner Alan Klinger said Thursday that he will be joined by fellow partner Dina Kolker and special counsel David Kahne in the move to Steptoe, a former merger suitor to Stroock which gained 35 of its lawyers in July.
