Midwest-based Big Law firm Armstrong Teasdale has opened its newest office in Dublin, Ireland, making good on long-awaited plans to establish a foothold in both European and U.K. legal markets.

Managing partner Patrick Rasche, an intellectual property lawyer, said Dublin’s concentration of technology, financial services and life sciences companies was a major factor in deciding to open an office in Ireland. “We provide intellectual property services to some of the world’s most sophisticated companies, some of which now have a position in Dublin, but many of which have operations in the EU,” Rasche said.
