After a three-and-a-half-year stint at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, agency general counsel Robert Stebbins has rejoined Willkie Farr & Gallagher to lead the firm’s corporate governance practice.

Stebbins, who works in the firm’s New York office, joined the SEC in 2017 following a 24-year tenure at Willkie and led a team of 150 in the Office of General Counsel. He left the SEC in January, according to a news release.
