Dallas commercial litigator Meredith Lyons had her second child in November 2023, the same month Vinson & Elkins announced that she and six other lawyers at the firm were promoted to partner.
All but one of the seven new partners at the Am Law 100 firm also had babies born within a few months of making partner, and the seventh, James Leader, a commercial and business litigation partner in Houston, is the father of a one-year-old and a four-year-old.
