The North Dakota Supreme Court ordered the disbarment of a Fargo attorney Thursday for his involvement in five separate disciplinary matters within three-and-a-half years in the profession.

Most recently, the court said attorney Mark. J Pilch abandoned a client during divorce proceedings after he was retained in June 2022. He was admitted to practice law nearly five years ago in April 2019, but his license was suspended in October 2022, for failing to comply with continuing education reporting requirements. He did not pay a licensing fee for 2023 and is not currently licensed, the state high court’s order said.
