A Montana attorney was disbarred last week and ordered to pay more than $1.3 million in restitution for a case the state bar commission called “the most egregious and extensive trust violation and misappropriation [or] commingling case to ever come before it.”

The Montana Supreme Court unanimously agreed to disbar Kalispell, Montana attorney, Meghan Doud, for multiple violations involving her firm’s trust accounts, commingling attorney funds with client funds and imposing unreasonable fees and costs to clients. Justice Jim Rice recused himself from the case.
