New Jersey’s Supreme Court has authorized the resumption of remote civil jury trials on a limited basis.
Civil trials will resume on a virtual basis, with jurors remaining remote during the trial, in eight of the state’s 21 counties on or after Feb. 1, Chief Justice Stuart Rabner said in an order signed Thursday. Civil trials will resume statewide on or after April 5.
