The Recorder is recognizing Intel and Upwork as the winners of its annual Legal Departments of the Year awards. Intel was recognized in the large-company category for its patent strategy, product counseling and focus on regulatory and compliance issues at the multinational technology company. Upwork won the top spot among emerging companies for its focus on patent strategy, data security and product counseling for the freelance worker marketplace.
The Recorder also has also named winners in seven specialty areas, including patent strategy, data security, product counseling, regulatory compliance, mergers and acquisitions, litigation and legal operations.
