U.S. District Judge William Alsup has set aside—for now—Google Inc.’s attempt to hold Oracle Corp. in contempt of court for disclosing Android licensing information that set the business press abuzz.

Google made the request after Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe partner Annette Hurst, representing Oracle before Magistrate Judge Donna Ryu at a Jan. 14 hearing, indicated that Google has earned $31 billion in revenues from Android, and paid Apple $1 billion in 2014 to keep Google’s search bar on the iPhone.
