SACRAMENTO — Alyson Huber, a two-term assemblywoman representing Sacramento’s suburbs, has joined Greenberg Traurig’s capital office as of counsel, the firm announced on Monday.

Although she was eligible to serve another two years in the Assembly, the moderate Democrat announced in December 2011 that she would not seek a third term, citing family and financial issues. Redistricting had also shifted her El Dorado County home into a more conservative Assembly district, a change that likely would have forced her to move if she chose to run for office again.
