After weeks of uncertainty surrounding University of California at Los Angeles Chancellor Gene Block’s future at the university, Block averted a no-confidence vote and censure when put to vote by the UCLA Academic Senate late last week.
The Legislative Assembly voted 43% in favor of the no-confidence resolution and 50% in favor of censuring Block, with neither fulfilling the majority vote required for the resolutions to pass, according to the Academic Senate.
