California state bar prosecutors on Thursday rested their disbarment case against John Eastman but not before the Orange County attorney doubled-down on unproven claims that Democrats stole the 2020 presidential election and that Vice President Mike Pence could have stopped them.

In his third day on the witness stand this week, Eastman insisted there was “circumstantial evidence,” though no “absolute proof,” of electronic vote-flipping favoring then-candidate Joe Biden. He also continued to argue that Democrats’ use of ballot drop boxes, ballot signature-curing and nursing home voting in some states violated election laws to the point where Pence should have—and had the authority to—delay the electoral vote count on Jan. 6, 2021.
