Warner Bros. Entertainment, New Line Cinema and Scope Productions were slapped with a breach-of-contract lawsuit on Aug. 15 in California Superior Court for Los Angeles County in relation to the horror films ‘The Nun’ and ‘ The Conjuring 2.’ The court case was brought by Frankfurt Kurnit Klein & Selz on behalf of Bonnie Aarons, who portrayed the demon nun Valak in the films. According to the complaint, the defendants have refused to pay Aarons her contractually required share of merchandising revenues. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants.
