Gov. Gavin Newsom on Tuesday turned to attorneys from three prominent legal offices to fill vacancies in two Bay Area trial courts.
Vinita Bali, international counsel at Stanford University’s office of general counsel, was named to the Santa Clara County Superior Court. She was previously Stanford’s director of global risk, and she worked as a lecturer in law at Santa Clara University School of Law from 2008 to 2021.
