Saina Shamilov, a litigation partner for Fenwick & West, is being recognized as one of 20 Women Leaders in Tech Law as part of The Recorder’s California Legal Awards.

The Mountain View, California-based attorney secured summary judgement in a declaratory judgement action against PersonalWeb Technologies on behalf of more than 80 Amazon and Amazon Web Services customers, such as Airbnb, Venmo and Kickstarter. In a precedential opinion, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit affirmed that the Kessler doctrine precludes subsequent customer claims. After the solicitor general sided with Amazon, the U.S. Supreme Court declined to review the decision.
