Google was hit with a digital privacy class action Friday in California Northern District Court. The suit, brought by Carney, Bates & Pulliam, contends Google wrongfully stores the personal identifiable information and video rental histories of users of Google’s video rental service, Google Play. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendant. The case is 3:22-cv-05652, Minahan v. Google, LLC.
