Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani welcomes Edward Garcia to the firm’s San Francisco office. He joins the employment practice group. For more than two decades Garcia has concentrated his practice in all aspects of employment law. He has experience representing private and public sector employers of all sizes (including large national and multi-national corporations) as well as their managers and employees in lawsuits for discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage and hour issues, unfair competition, defamation, whistleblower claims, and various other tort claims. In addition, Garcia also defends businesses and property owners against disability access claims against establishments and websites. Prior to joining Gordon & Rees, Garcia was a managing attorney for a Chubb Insurance for almost 20 years.

Littler Mendelson has added Allison Borkenheim as a shareholder in its San Diego office. Borkenheim joins from Best Best & Krieger. Having practiced labor and employment law for more than two decades, Borkenheim has experience managing litigation and developing compliance programs on behalf of employers. She defends employers against claims involving discrimination and harassment, wage and hour compliance, and the California Private Attorney General Act. She has experience in front of federal and state courts and administrative agencies, as well as in arbitration and mediation. Borkenheim’s clients include multi-national corporations, hospital systems, nonprofits and public entities.
