Twitter and Tesla CEO Elon Musk were hit with a securities class action Wednesday in California Northern District Court in connection with Musk’s proposal to acquire Twitter for $44 billion. The lawsuit, filed by Cotchett, Pitre & McCarthy and Bottini & Bottini, accuses Musk of making false statements and market manipulation. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 3:22-cv-03074, Heresniak v. Musk et al.
