Cooley partners Jessica Valenzuela Sanatamara and Shannon Eagan have stepped in to defend diagnostic test developer Talis Biomedical Corp. and individual officers and directors in a securities class action arising from the company’s Feb. 2021 IPO. The court action, filed Jan. 7 in California Northern District Court, accuses the defendants of concealing likely delays in the launch of a COVID-19 test. The case was filed by Glancy Prongay & Murray and the Law Offices of Frank R. Cruz. Morgan, Lewis & Bockius represents the underwriters of Talis’ IPO. The case, assigned to U.S. District Senior Judge Susan Illston, is 3:22-cv-00105, Modrak v. Talis Biomedical Corporation et al.
