The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit on Monday reinstated a lawsuit challenging California law requiring public corporations headquartered in the state to appoint women to their boards of directors.
The unanimous three-judge panel reversed a Sacramento federal court judge’s finding that Creighton Meland Jr., a shareholder of Hawthorne-based OSI Systems Inc., did not have standing to challenge the law.
