Weil, Gotshal & Manges filed a breach-of-contract lawsuit Friday in California Northern District Court on behalf of Bluestar Genomics. The complaint brings claims against Ludwig Institute For Cancer Research and Dr. Chunxiao Song. Ludwig is accused of interfering with Bluestar’s contract with Song to develop DNA sequencing technology for assessing cancer, and both Ludwig and Song are accused of converting Bluestar’s intellectual property. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 3:21-cv-04507, Bluestar Genomics v. Song et al.
