Venable expanded its corporate practice with the addition of Julian Zou as partner. Zou will work in the firm’s San Francisco office, handling corporate, venture capital, mergers and acquisitions, foreign direct investment, banking and finance, real estate and other commercial issues. According to LinkedIn, he was most recently counsel at Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman.

Michael Tu, the former head of Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe‘s Southern California securities practice, is now a partner at Cooley. He handles cases involving securities litigation and complex business disputes and has experience with securities class action and derivative action, M&A, regulatory, securities and corporate governance, business litigation and trade secret matters. He is based in Los Angeles.
