California is poised to license a near-record number of new attorneys this year.
More than 5,292 applicants passed the October 2020 general bar exam, according to results released Jan. 8 by the state bar. The number of successful test-takers is the second-highest on record, falling just short of the all-time high of 5,330 in 2008.
