Paul J. Smyth joined Rawle & Henderson as of counsel to the firm.
He works in the firm’s New Jersey and Philadelphia offices.
Smyth concentrates his law practice in the areas of environmental, toxic and mass torts, professional liability and construction.
Smyth earned his bachelor’s degree from Temple University in 1997 and obtained his law degree from the Rutgers Law School—Camden in 2005.
He is admitted to practice in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.
Stradley Ronon Stevens & Young counsel Jana M. Landon presented at the Main Line Chamber of Commerce‘s Society of Professional Women Lunch and Share Seminar on April 12 in King of Prussia.
Landon’s seminar, “Creating a Culture of Cyber Security,” discussed current threats businesses and individuals are facing, as well as practical and low-tech ways to work toward securing personal and client data by creating an environment that values cybersecurity.
Landon is co-chair of the firm’s cyber insurance and data breach response groups.
Her practice focuses on advising lawyers and clients on data security and data management issues and legal, technical and strategic issues regarding information governance.
She also represents clients in complex insurance coverage matters.
Emily Griesing, Griesing Law‘s marketing manager, attended the Legal Marketing Association‘s annual conference in Las Vegas.
Griesing Law represents Fortune 500 corporations and closely held companies in complex business transactions, litigation, intellectual property and employment matters.
The firm has offices in Philadelphia, New York and Cincinnati.
Elected and Appointed
Duane Morris partner Robert M. Palumbos was appointed vice chair of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court’s Appellate Court Procedural Rules Committee.
His new position is set to commence on June 30.
Palumbos is currently serving a three-year term on the committee, which began on July 15, 2015.
He helps companies and entrepreneurs resolve complex legal issues in appellate and commercial litigation and has briefed and argued appeals in state and federal courts throughout the United States.
In addition, Palumbos represents companies in complex commercial litigation and handles cases involving antitrust, securities and class actions.
The Legal is seeking contributing authors for its weekly In-House Counsel column. Articles can cover a broad range of subjects but should be of particular interest to in-house counsel.
