A South African platinum refining company has been awarded $16 million by a federal jury in its lawsuit filed against the owners of a Bucks County junkyard, in receivership, for failing to pay back loans as it neared insolvency.

After seven days of trial, the jury in U.S. District Judge Michael Baylson of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania’s courtroom sided with Impala Platinum Holdings, handing up a verdict March 23 against A-1 Specialized Services’ officers and shareholders, Ashok Kumar Khosla, Leena Khosla, Om P.
