The NCAA is citing its ongoing spat with state officials in a separate case as evidence that a protection order in Paterno v. NCAA should limit pretrial disclosure.

On Wednesday, the National Collegiate Athletic Association requested that Potter County Court of Common Pleas Judge John B. Leete reject a motion by the estate of Joe Paterno to remove a portion of a protection order that the NCAA has proposed. The NCAA pointed to recent media reports on emails disclosed through the Corman v. NCAA suit as reasons why their proposed order should not be modified.
