Fisher & Phillips is set to host a breakfast series, Sunrise Solutions, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Cira Centre in Philadelphia.

Firm attorneys J. Freedley Hunsicker Jr. and Christin M. Choi will summarize an employer’s rights to prohibit inappropriate conduct and maintain the work environment best suited to the employer’s needs.

Elected and Appointed

Daniel G. Snyder, a former member of White and Williams‘ workers’ compensation group, was appointed a workers’ compensation judge by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry, Workers’ Compensation Office of Adjudication.

Snyder is assigned to Wilkes-Barre, Pa., Luzerne County.

Snyder will conduct hearings in disputed workers’ compensation matters and render decisions, as well as provide alternative dispute resolution services in contested matters.

Stradley Ronon Stevens & Young attorney Carolina Cabrera DiGiorgio was elected as incoming chair of Congreso de Latinos Unidos, a Hispanic nonprofit.

She focuses her practice on real estate, banking and financial services, and nonprofit and religious organizations.

Honored

Camille Miller, co-chair of Cozen O’Connor‘s intellectual property department and the intellectual property litigation practice group, was named a Client Choice 2014 winner at a gala dinner held in May in London.

The Client Choice survey was conducted by International Law Office and Lexology, with cooperation from the Association of Corporate Counsel, polling only senior corporate counsel.

Dina S. Ronsayro, a partner at Astor Weiss Kaplan & Mandel, was selected as Philadelphia VIP‘s May volunteer of the month.

Her practice areas include family law, personal injury and general litigation.

Ronsayro uses her family law expertise to advise VIP clients, and to mentor other volunteer attorneys on family law dispute resolution.

She has donated more than 40 pro bono hours to low-income clients since her start with VIP in 2009.

Theodore “Ted” Simon of the Law Offices of Theodore Simon was asked by the Pennsylvania Bar Association‘s Civil Litigation Section to join a panel of experts to focus on “High-Profile Cases in the Media.”

Simon is a criminal defense attorney in Philadelphia, where he has a local, national and international trial and appellate practice.

Pamela C. Brecht, a senior associate in Pietragallo Gordon Alfano Bosick & Raspanti, served as qui tam co-chair and presented at the New Jersey Association for Justice‘s Boardwalk Seminar 2014 in Atlantic City, N.J.

Brecht focuses her practice on state and federal qui tam litigation and complex federal litigation.

Obermayer Rebmann Maxwell & Hippel partners David L. Ladov and Stephanie Winegrad presented at the Pennsylvania Bar Institute‘s Family Law Institute in Philadelphia.

Ladov presented “Addressing Complex Economic Issues in Divorce,” and Winegrad participated in three presentations, “Pa.’s Custody Statute,” “Litigating the Relocation Case” and “Unique Custody Issues.”

Denis C. Dice, a shareholder in the securities and investment professional liability practice group at Marshall Dennehey Warner Coleman & Goggin, authored a chapter in the book, “Inside the Minds: New Developments in Securities Litigation 2014,” published by Thomson Reuters Westlaw.

His chapter, “Representing Broker-Dealers and Stockbrokers in Securities Litigation,” focuses on defending clients against securities fraud claims, recent trends in areas of securities litigation, and the lingering impact of the 2008 financial crisis.
