Firing a double-barreled shot of diversity, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie on Monday announced two nominees who if confirmed would become the first Asian-American and the first openly gay justice on the New Jersey Supreme Court.
The candidates are First Assistant Attorney General Phillip Kwon, 44, and Bruce Harris, 61, the mayor of Chatham, N.J., and of counsel to Greenberg Traurig in Florham Park, N.J.
