My Independence at Home, a Philadelphia in-home care provider, was hit with a wage-and-hour class action on May 3 in Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas for Philadelphia County. The suit claims that the defendant improperly deducts meal breaks from workers’ wages and also fails to include bonus and incentive pay in the calculation of overtime rates. The complaint was filed by Berger Montague, Josephson Dunlap LLP, Bruckner Burch PLLC; and Anderson Alexander PLLC. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendant. The case is 230500476, McCall v.
