Following is a listing of executive and legislative action for the week of Nov. 7. Both houses of the General Assembly were in recess at press time. The state House of Representatives was set to return to session Monday, subject to an earlier recall by Speaker Bryan Cutler, R-Lancaster. The Pennsylvania Senate was scheduled to reconvene Tuesday, subject to earlier recall by President Pro Tempore Jake Corman, R-Centre.

Textile Industry

Gov. Tom Wolf on Nov. 10 announced $189,000 in new funding for Delaware Valley Industrial Resource Center (DVIRC) through Pennsylvania’s Manufacturing PA Training-to-Career Program (MTTC) to address the need for sewing machine operators in southeastern Pennsylvania’s textile industry through the creation of a training collaborative.
