Litigation over long-standing questions about how to address mail-in ballots are set to persist in Pennsylvania, despite Democratic wins in the closely watched races for governor and U.S. Senate that were more decisive than many were expecting.

Now that attention is turning away from the two statewide races, attorneys are hopeful pending federal litigation will provide lawyers with guidance on the persistent issue of how boards of election should handle undated and incorrectly dated mail-in ballots.
