A jury in Pennsylvania federal court handed up a $25 million verdict to a motorcyclist who sustained severe lower-body injuries from a collision with a tractor-trailer.

Charles “Chuck” Hehmeyer of Berman & Simmons in Maine was the lead attorney for the plaintiff, Travis Sweigart, a motorcyclist who the jury found 5% negligent for the collision.  Meanwhile, the jury found the defendant, Kevin Patten, who drove the tractor-trailer, 95% responsible for the crash.
