Last month, Philadelphia City Council approved several bills that will have a significant impact on real estate developers and wholesalers. To date, two of the bills have been signed into law by Mayor James Kenney.

Kenney signed a bill amending Title 9 of The Philadelphia Code, titled “Regulation of Businesses, Trades and Professions,” by adding a new chapter, titled “Residential Property Wholesalers,” to regulate the solicitation of purchases of real property and require certain disclosures by property purchasers to homeowners.
