The case involving a man who fired what he believed to be a simulation gun at a Stroudsburg firearms training session and gravely injured another participant will move to trial, says a Monroe County Court of Common Pleas judge.

In Commonwealth of Pennsylvania v. Saylor, Judge Jennifer Harlacher Sibum denied defendant Cody Saylor’s omnibus pretrial motion seeking habeas corpus relief and dismissal of his aggravated assault charge by the commonwealth in a Dec. 28 opinion, in which she stated the commonwealth presented sufficient evidence to show a prima facie case of aggravated assault.
