A Pennsylvania appeals court has declined to hold a national motorcycle club liable for a fatal bar brawl that led to a nearly $10 million verdict in 2018.

The state Superior Court on Monday affirmed a trial court decision that had granted a compulsory nonsuit in favor of the Iron Order Motorcycle Club. The club was facing liability in connection with the 2015 fight that left a woman named Tonya Focht dead. The trial court’s decision had let the club out of the case.
