The first thing to do is set up the campaign committee if it has not already been set up. Under the Code of Judicial Conduct, Rule 4.4(b)(2), one’s campaign committee can start to solicit funds after the general election of the year before. Since the general election was Nov. 3, campaign committee and solicitation and raising monies can begin Nov. 4.
