A federal judge has denied Pfizer’s request to arbitrate a sexual harassment-related employment lawsuit against the drugmaker.

U.S. District Judge Sylvia H. Rambo of the Middle District of Pennsylvania said the parties must conduct limited discovery over 30 days to ascertain whether the plaintiff entered into a binding arbitration agreement with Pfizer.

“At the close of that thirty days, or before discovery is complete, Defendant may file a renewed motion to compel arbitration, which will be reviewed by this court under a motion for summary judgment standard,” Rambo said.
